Hey y’all! Hope you all are having an amazing start to the week. I’m here with some serious wanderlust looking back on my latest vacation and wanting to share with you all Seven Falls – Things to Do in Colorado!

In case you didn’t know, I went to Colorado over the 4th of July weekend and had an amazing time. It’s one of my favorite places in the country and it was great to have a little family road trip! I also finally made the trek up Seven Falls… I’ve been a few times but never walked up the steps. I got halfway up before realizing – one of my worst fears is STAIRS. Probably not my brightest moment. But I will say that I have been less scared of stairs since making the trek .. woohoo!

If you ever make it to the Colorado Springs/Denver area, I would definitely recommend taking the hike to the top. And in case you aren’t familiar, Seven Falls is a waterfall with, well.. seven falls! There are seven waterfalls all connected and it’s a wonderful sight to see.

When I used to go as a kid, there was a parking lot on the area, but now there is not. Take note and either be prepared to take the shuttle up or find some other remote parking on the park.

Once you make it into the park and buy your tickets, take my advice and TAKE THE TRAM! There’s a tiny train that runs from the entrance to the falls and trust me – you should take it. We decided to walk and realized halfway through that the uphill hike was much longer than we thought. The train back took less than 3 minutes and was a great idea after putting our legs through hell on all of the steps!

Before walking up all of those stairs, I’d recommend taking a stop at the lookout point just outside. You just take an elevator up (#lazygirlwin) and you have an amazing view of the falls. I really think that this view is even better than the view from on top of the falls. You get a good look at the entirety of it and have a great spot for photos.

And finally, when you walk up the stairs – don’t look down! The steps are tiny and it’s pretty steep, so just make your way up and enjoy the view once you get to the top. It’s SO WORTH IT! Even if you’re scared of stairs how I am, it’s an amazing view that will really let you appreciate the beautiful nature of the area. And you can get a magnet that says you made it to the top.. so obviously you have to do it #duh.
