Hey y’all and happy Monday! I have a super exciting post to share with y’all today. First off, how was your weekend? Mine was pretty relaxing including a hibachi date night and some house-hunting. Next weekend I’ll be moving into my Dallas apartment so I’m trying to relax as much as I can before! Ha!
Now, without further adieu! Hive sent me their welcome home kit to try out and share my thoughts with y’all. The kit included 1 Hive Thermostat, 2 Hive Lights, 1 Hive Wall Plug, 2 Hive Door/Window Sensors, and the hub that connects them all together! I’m not a super tech-y person, so I was excited to try it out and see how it works for a “normal” person haha. So here are my thoughts on my Hive Welcome Home Kit!
First of all, in case you don’t know, Hive has products that make living super convenient. You can program your lights to turn on when you walk in the house, turn on your coffee maker from your bed in the morning, change your home temperature when you don’t want to get up, and so much more. You control all of the products from your phone with their user friendly app. This is SUPER helpful during the summer when you’re feeling a little lazier than usual!
Once you get your Hive products, you have to register for an account on their website. After you verify your email address, you can download the app and get started.
Once you’re all registered, you can connect your hub to your internet router with an included cable and get started with whatever products you want! I’ve already set up and used my door/window sensors and the smart plug. You literally just set them up and “pair” them with your app!
Although I was sent this from Hive, I’m under no obligation to give a good review – but I completely LOVE it already. It would be a great gift for the tech lover in your life or just to make your home a little smarter.
So #letsgetliving and check out their website here. I’ve only been using these products for a bit but once I have them installed in my new apartment and use them for a few weeks, I’ll be updating y’all on my thoughts again! So far, they’re great!
